Peak season warning
May through early July books fast.
The Saturday after Memorial Day, the first two weekends of June, and every Saturday through mid-June are the four busiest catering days of our entire year. If your graduate's party is on one of those dates, book by March. Weekday grad parties and Sunday afternoons can usually be booked on shorter notice.

Frequently asked
Graduation catering, answered.
When should I book graduation catering in Buffalo?
Book by March for May or June graduation parties. The Mansard's calendar fills first for the Saturday after Memorial Day, the first two weekends of June, and Saturdays through the third week of June — these are peak graduation weekends in Western New York. Weekday grad parties can often be booked on shorter notice.
What's the minimum headcount for a graduation party?
Our graduation-catering minimum is 15 guests. Most of our grad-party orders run 40–120 guests, but we'll scale down for smaller family gatherings without forcing you to over-order.
Do you deliver to school districts across Western New York?
Yes. We regularly cater graduation parties in Williamsville, Amherst, Clarence, Lancaster, Orchard Park, Hamburg, Frontier Central, West Seneca, Sweet Home, Kenmore-Tonawanda, Grand Island, East Aurora, and most other WNY school districts. Free delivery within 15 miles; $1.50 per mile beyond.
Can we add a wing bar or a carving station?
Yes — and we recommend it for Buffalo grad parties. A wing bar (four flavors, celery, blue cheese, ranch) adds $6 per person. A beef-on-weck carving station with horseradish and au jus adds $8 per person. A pierogi bar adds $5 per person. These turn a standard buffet into a party your grad's out-of-town family will talk about.
Can you coordinate with a church hall or a banquet room?
Yes. The Mansard caters grad parties at parish halls across the Diocese of Buffalo, Knights of Columbus halls, VFW banquet rooms, and local fire halls. We handle setup, service, and cleanup — you get the space, we bring the food and the staff.
What's a good grad-party headcount for my backyard?
Most Western New York backyard grad parties run 40 to 80 guests — family, neighbors, graduate's friends, a few teachers and coaches. Plan for 1.5x what you think based on RSVP patterns (grad parties notoriously exceed headcount). Our $22.95 Buffalo Grad Party package scales smoothly from 15 to 150 guests.
Can you cater a grad party in Orchard Park or Hamburg specifically?
Yes. Orchard Park is where our kitchen is, so delivery is included and typically under 15 minutes. Hamburg is 12 to 15 minutes from our kitchen — also free delivery. Both are our two highest-volume grad-party markets each May and June. See our service area page for other city specifics.
Do you offer a vegetarian or gluten-free option for graduates' friends?
Yes. Every grad-party package includes vegetarian options (pasta, salad, vegetable antipasto). Gluten-free entrées and sides are available on request — tell us the dietary split when you book. For a few allergy-sensitive attendees, we can prep labeled individual portions at no extra charge.
Can we bring our own dessert or cake?
Absolutely. Most families bring their graduate's cake from a local bakery (Desiderio's, Deco, Muscoreil's). Our service staff handles cake cutting and serving as part of the full-service package at no extra charge. For drop-off catering, you handle cake yourself but we include dessert plates and forks.
Do you handle multi-graduate combined parties for families with siblings?
Yes. Families with two graduates (one HS, one college, for example) often combine into one larger party. We scale the menu accordingly and price per guest. Families in different school districts combining logistics often ask for one menu that covers both — we handle that routinely.
Can you cater a late-afternoon or evening grad party?
Yes. Our 12 PM to 9 PM delivery window covers any grad-party time. Late-afternoon or evening parties (after 4 PM) pair well with our full-service staffing — we can set up, serve, and clean up so the family doesn't handle food mid-party. Bar service is $18 to $38 per person depending on the package.
